Perhaps the most objectionable thing about Lana Del Rey is that she insists her lips are real. So, here you go. Regard them. They even look freshly inflated for this Vogue Australia cover shoot! There is hope in sight, though, as Del Rey claims she wants to leave the music industry for the relatively low-profile world of screenwriting:

“I said everything I needed to say before I wrote this record. I don’t even talk that much. God, talking in interviews is the most I’ve talked in years. When I was starting, I had a vision of being a writer for film and that’s what I am doing now. I’m so happy. Hopefully I will branch into film work and stay there. That will be my happy place. I’d like to stay in one place for a long time.”

Elsewhere, she mentions she eats “spaghetti and chocolate cake every day,” and, in keeping with her impressive vacuousness, we learn she’s a huge Slim Aarons fan.

Del Rey was shot by Nicole Bentley and styled by Christine Centenera in various frothy pretty things. The issue hits newsstands Wednesday. Here’s one more shot, of the singer getting a touch-up from the Vogue AU crew:
