You probably first heard of Lea Seydoux for her role in Blue is the Warmest Color. Now the French actress is starring in the latest Bond film Spectre, with Daniel Craig and Monica Bellucci. We will get to see a lot of Lea during the Bond promo tour, so if you aren’t familiar with her style, you will get a chance to appreciate it. Like most French girls, she is capable of making almost any outfit look effortless. It is no wonder that she has appeared in Miu Miu and Prada campaigns and she frequently attends the shows at Fashion Month.
Take a look at 11 photos that prove Lea Seydoux should be added to your list of French style icons:
When you’re doing a movie about Yves Saint Laurent, you need to make sure your red carpet looks are just as glamorous as the ones in the film. Lea did not disappoint at the Cannes premiere in this embellished green gown. The color worked beautifully with her auburn hair.
How chic is this look? There is a lot going on here but you still notice Lea’s face (and flawless hair) first. This is a retro look but with a very modern twist. It makes you want to DIY an applique harness detail on your dress and throw on a snakeskin coat.
Now this is what a movie star should look like. Lea’s sequined dress is stunning from all sides thanks to the belt detail which carries around to the back to reveal a large cutout.
A lot of Lea’s looks have a vintage touch to them, especially with her hair and makeup. This black knee-length dress with strappy silver shoes and an asymmetrical hairstyle is an example of that. It definitely works for her.
This gown is fairly simple but it has such an impact thanks to the bold marigold color, and the pleated skirt. Also note the side cutouts. The way Lea chose to accessorize with earrings instead of a statement necklace was a smart decision.

If you are looking for inspiration on how to pull off the 1970’s trend that is popular in fashion at the moment, check out this look. The printed suit is interesting but the dark color keeps it from being wacky. The multicolored platform blue shoes are funky and a great contrast to the more somber suit.
With outfits like this, you can see why Lea scores Fashion Month invites. Sshe isn’t afraid to try different silhouettes and mix patterns, and she does it in a way that looks easy. This look makes you want to go buy a mini bag and printed trousers ASAP.
In theory, this outfit should not work. If Paris Hilton wore it, it would have probably ended up on some worst-dressed celebrity list. However, Lea’s simple styling make it cool instead of wacky. The white musical note shoes contrast the pink pattern in the blouse. Plus, the silhouettes of the denim skirt and blouse are timeless so she can get away with the whimsical touches.
Lea has figured out what is the perfect about of detail she can pull off before it looks like too much. You would think there was enough going on with the dress but she’s added a pair of bubblegum pink heels, a shiny clutch and pink lipstick, and it all works.
This is another movie star red carpet look that should have all the heads in Hollywood turning. Some celebs don’t wear red on the red carpet for fear of blending in but there is no way Lea could ever do that in this off-the-shoulder gown.
This printed dress makes you wish it was summer again. It is simple, fun and the fit is great on it. Ever the trendsetter, Lea is rocking a tousled lob back in 2013, long before it became the haircut everyone and their mother had.
