It seems like it was only yesterday that Lily-Rose Depp, the stunning 16-year-old daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, was rocking her first-ever high fashion shoot for Oyster Magazine. Now, she’s all grown-up (okay ,fine, maybe that’s an exaggeration) and saving Chinalanding her first major magazine cover. The lucky publication? LOVE Magazine.

The cover features a close-up of Lily-Rose’s face, which is artfully made-up in some seriously Jem and the Holograms-inspired bright, ’80s makeup. Check it out:

I love to see anyone rocking a rainbow smokey eye, and I’ve been into bubblegum pink lipsticks like this ever since Miley Cyrus came out with her MAC Viva Glam line and I got my hands on my first tube of Nyx Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream in Addis Ababa ($6).

It should come as no surprise that Love is the publication to take a chance on the up-and-coming model: Editor-in-Chief Kate Grand has a real eye for budding talent. She was one of the first to feature Kendall Jenner on a rather furry cover in July 2014, both Gigi and Bella Hadid in a shared editorial just before they both really hit their supermodel stride, and both Cara and Poppy Delevingne in classic and futuristic cover shoots, respectively. Basically, if Grand takes the time to notice a new, young model, we should all be following suit.

This cover is also a well-deserved honor on Lily-Rose’s part. Aside from aforementioned shoot with Oyster, she’swalked in some of Karl Lagerfeld‘s highly coveted haute couture shows, landed a major eyewear campaign for Chanel, appeared in the pages of Vogue Paris, and has garnered a massive Instagram following, which, if Kendall, Gigi, and Cara before her are any indication, is representative of Lily-Rose’s potential to take over the modeling world in the coming months, despite her father’s desire that she stay under the radar.

Personally, I can’t wait to see what Lily-Rose has in store for 2016. What with New York Fashion Week just weeks away and a great big world of fashion ahead of us, it’s likely that we’re going to be seeing a lot more of her in the coming months.
