Alexander McQueen‘s diffusion line McQ held its first ever runway show last night, as part of London Fashion Week to much critical praise. This is especially good news, as the house only recently regained control of McQ in 2010 (after five years in licensing with SINV SpA). They’ve since been busily rebranding McQ as a more accessible diffusion from the main collection, as opposed to the sporty, ultra-casual streetwear look it had going before.

Anyway, we’ve known for a while now that the house of McQueen is in good hands with Sarah Burton, but McQ has really never looked better or more sophisticated. There were more than a few looks that wouldn’t be out of place on the main collection’s runway and, lucky for us, Grazia got video of the final turn.
