So remember that time I declared that London was probably the coolest city in the world? Well, things are about to get awkward for me, because I need to retract that earlier statement, but only because it’s clear that Milan is the coolest city in the world. That’s the only conclusion to be drawn from all of the street style from Milan Fashion Week.

With all of the amazing fashion going down the runway this past week (Gucci, Fendi, Moschino—come on now), I sort of secretly thought it’d be kind of impossible to top all of the official designer collections. But, somehow, some way, the wonderful people of Milan have shown me what’s what. And honestly, I’ve never been happier to be proven wrong.

THIS is how you do a proper denim-on-denim look. The different washes ease up on the whole Canadian tuxedo thing, and a pair of Valentino Rockstud pumps makes everything better.
Even though I feel like blogger Bridget Bahl‘s knees are insanely cold here, I can’t help but love this look. I never thought I’d see someone combine grunge with a sort of effortlessly chic beauty, but here we are.

I feel like this is the coziest woman at Milan Fashion Week.
Angelica Pickles would be proud of this jumper. Also, can we agree that burgundy is the only color we need for the rest of our natural lives?
It really wouldn’t be Milan Fashion Week without an appearance from Chiara Ferragni. While I’m not so sure about those dual tone sunglasses, I’m ALL about that monster backpack, which, given her love of monster apparel, I’m assuming is one of her own designs.
If I saw this woman on the street, I would absolutely be intimidated. There’s something about how obviously put together and strong it is that just makes me want to hide in my apartment for the rest of my life, but in the best way.

You gotta love a good layered look. There are basically three outfits in one here—as the day goes on, all she has to do is take off each jacket and end up in a chic all-black outfit with lace-up heels.
A cape, a saddle bag, and a pair of over-the-knee boots that look suspiciously like Stuart Weitzman‘s Highlands? I’m down.
Sure, this may be a Fashion Week celebrating fall clothing, but that doesn’t mean you can’t full-on channel spring.
