Mischa Barton is one of those famous people who got a lot of attention really early on in their careers: she had a hit show, a strong look and one of those figures fashion people are always hailing a “designer’s dream.” But her time on The OC came to a close and she seemed to quickly descend into a world of substance abuse, bad dudes, and increasingly disheveled paparazzi photos.
…Hence, the fashion crowd has been calling for a “comeback” for years now. Setting aside the issue of what it would mean for “someone from The OC who walked some red carpets sometimes” to make a comeback, let’s all be interested and amazed by the fact that Barton popped up earlier this week looking more polished than she has in a while.
She was attending the Metropolitan Opera’s opening production of Eugene Onegin (dope choices all around!) at The Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. She wore a delicately draped black gown, fantastic pumps and a statement belt in a shade of blue last seen on the Diva in The Fifth Element (let’s call it Diva Blue).
Also, her makeup was very minimal:
Again, we don’t really know what it would mean for Barton to make a comeback, per se, but it’s nice to see… people… looking nice! Other recent exciting makeovers include Jennifer Love Hewitt, Hayden Panettiere and Wendy Davis‘ Vogue treatment.
