Never one to skimp on what its audience wants, ModCloth‘s bridal collection has officially launched. In direct response to the community’s appetite for ModCloth-brand wedding wear, the collection features ModCloth label dresses, as well as bridal shoes, accessories, decor, and bridesmaids dresses. Basically, they’ve made themselves your one-stop shop for all things wedding!
ModCloth’s Wedding includes 30 wedding dresses ranging in price from $175 to $450, and over 50 bridesmaids dresses between $70 to $175 (so no complaints from bridesmaids on a budget). The shoes range from traditional heels to rose gold flats and flatforms, and the accessories include pieces so pretty, you won’t want to wear them any other day. In true ModCloth form, they have pieces that appeal to every kind of bride, from the more traditional:
To those who prefer to go for a lightly more vintage feel:
In fact, a lot of the inspiration for these dresses came from the ModCloth community! The Instagram hashtag #MarriedinModCloth features tons of real brides modeling ModCloth’s pieces at their own weddings, which in turn inspired the brand’s new designs. ModCloth vice president and general merchandising manager Nicole Haase, who once looked to the same community when working on the brand’s first in-house line, told Racked,
“You see these things come to life. It actually inspires the way we may tailor a collection or think about ‘Wow, maybe we should make this a little bit longer or cut off the sleeves or change the color.’ It doesn’t necessarily need to be relegated to little white dress. Maybe it’s ivory or blush.”
One look at some of the photos under the hashtag will show you that they really do pay attention to their audience, which isn’t something that many designers do these days. The same goes for their bridesmaids dresses, which are adorable, easy to wear again, and distinctly ModCloth:
In keeping with their goal to remain inclusive, the wedding collection comes in a range of sizes, from petites to plus (sizes 28-30, or 4X).
If you’re looking to keep your wedding budget low, or if you’d rather spend more money on decor or food rather than your dresses and accessories, the ModCloth Wedding collection is perfect. Plus, the main page for the line on the ModCloth website features tons of wedding inspo, including cocktail recipes, photos from real brides, and decor ideas.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to plan my imaginary wedding.
