The Worst Dressed Of The 2014 MTV Movie Awards Reveals How Well Celebrities Ruin Spring Fashion
Besides the second episode of Game of Thrones and the season premiere of Mad Men, Sunday night saw one of the tackiest most creative red carpets of the year so far: the 2014 MTV Movie Awards. Given how warm it’s been in New York the past few days, we’ve been all excited for spring fashion; though to be fair, it’s that warm all the time in LA, where the MTV Movie Awards take place. Still, we’ve been so stoked to see brights and florals done well! And yet, celebrities always find a way to turn spring and summer fashion into a mess of pastel vomit. (Note to self: Go back in time and name LiveJournal ‘pastelvomit.’)
We already gave you a general rundown on who wore what and who didn’t look completely absurd (uh, I mean, who was “Best Dressed), but it’s judgment time, so let’s talk crop tops, cutouts and colorful disasters, shall we?
Iggy Azalea‘s feet look like their identities are being concealed on a show with black bars. The John Galliano dress is similar to a pair of $12 underwear from Urban Outfitters I bought in college.
Rita Ora, girl, even American Apparel models don’t wear their dresses this incorrectly. Barbara Casasola may have designed this, but it’s channeling so much College Junior Drunk At A Formal.
Oof, Bella Thorne. Did you rent a Versace look from Naya Rivera‘s closet?
I give Drake Bell some props for creativity over most menswear, but that doesn’t mean his outfit doesn’t look like bad nail art.
Y’know, I would have loved Zendaya‘s look from Emanuel Ungaro had that bottom panel not existed.
You sleepy, Rihanna? Because you look sleepy. Like, ingenue in a soap opera sleepy in this Ulyana Sergeenko look.
Chrissy Teigen borrowed a niece’s flower girl outfit a la Ulyana Sergeenko, so that was nice.
