I know that fashion week is over, but I’ve got a few more special accessory picks that I’d love to share :-)

Nicolas Ghesquière created wide leather belts that tied in front for Balenciaga’s  Fall/Winter collection:

To me, they look like they were inspired by the Japanese obi belt, part of the traditional kimono.  Obis have become a trendy accessory, worn with western clothing.  They’re flexible (most obi belts will fit a wide range of sizes) and a great way to add definition to your waist.

Traditionally, obis were made out of fabric, but there are some fantastic ones made out of leather or suede, like this red one from Cha Cha:
