Oscar de la Renta designed stationery for Paperless Post

It seems like there would be a fair amount of overlap between women who wear Oscar de la Renta and women who use fancy stationery, doesn’t it? Or at least the group of women who use fancy stationery seems likely to include a number of women who aspire to wear Oscar de la Renta someday, so the designer’s latest collaboration with Paperless Post seems like a pretty natural alliance.

If you want to invite a bunch of people to your next fancy dinner party, but feel like Evite isn’t posh enough for you anymore, the Oscar de la Renta stationery through Paperless Post has some of the fanciest email missives around. The first collection includes 50 designs inspired by the designer’s runway shows, and several of them are printed with patterns from de la Renta’s lace and fabric samples. There are options for regular stationery, “save the date” cards, general entertaining, and even wedding invitations.

“Oscar de la Renta has an incredible archive of signature prints and exquisite laces that made them an ideal collaborator,” said Paperless Post chief executive James Hirschfeld to The Hollywood Reporter“The brand embodies a lifestyle message that is elegant yet fun and perfect for entertaining.”

The samples on the site are from the desk of Miss Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy, which is adorable.

They’re not just e-cards, either.  The designs can be sent as electronic cards, but they can also be ordered in print runs and mailed traditionally, for those who balk at the idea of sending wedding invitations via email. (Grandmary does not accept your newfangled correspondence. If it’s not engraved on cotton paper, you’re out of the will.)
