Alexi Lubomirski shot Erin Wasson for an editorial called “Chic, Easy Pieces” in the May issue of American Harper’s Bazaar. Wasson looks great, unsurprisingly, traipsing around the sand in a minimalistic-Real Houswife kind of way. As I was looking over the images, I started to think I liked the idea of pairing a giant, fuck-off, metal statement necklace (by Chloe) with a simple white suit; it feels very chic and cerebral and Calvin Klein Collection. By which I mean: if I actually tried to wear this outfit, I’d put irreparable coffee, rain water, mud, liquor, and Coke Zero stains all over it in five minutes flat. But conceptually I like it and it sure photographs well.

…These were my thoughts exactly until I scrolled down and saw that this simple, beautiful white suit was in fact…

a short suit. By Bottega Veneta, I believe.

Though the wise women at Go Fug Yourself have informed us time and time again that formal shorts are the worst… every so often I think it kind of works.

What about you? Is this just silly looking, or is it a nice option for warmer weather while still looking sharp?
