Last night saw the 2013 Critics’ Choice Television Awards–and the attendant red carpet. Some swings and misses here, featuring looks from Diane Kruger, Emmy Rossum, Aubrey Plaza, Lizzy Caplan, Elisabeth Moss and more.
Aisha Tyler went with big hair but Lana Kane can do what she wants.
It’s always disappointing to see Diane Kruger come up short, but she is a ferocious risk taker so it’s bound to happen every so often. The problem here, in our opinion, is an extremely out of balance silhouette: the tea length shortens her and the exaggerated neckline makes the dress look top heavy.
Everything else happening (namely the face area) is characteristically lovely.
Molly Shannon went with a simple LBD.
Sarah Paulson‘s dress washed her out, it seems.
While we like Cat Deeley‘s seasonally appropriate coral lipstick, we’re not into the dress. Perhaps it’s the color scheme?
Kaley Cuoco‘s dress didn’t really fit.
Malin Ackerman did a short, sparkly LBD and sandals, but went with pretty minimal makeup and unfussy hair to balance it out.
Abigail Spencer went ladylike.
Aubrey Plaza looks unbelievably great! This is a really sleek, modern look for her and it results in total babeness.
Feel like Elisabeth Moss’ look is missing something.
Speaking of always looking overdressed, here’s Emmy Rossum.
Jennifer Carpenter’s dress was… a… bubble peplum?
Like the metallic floral print a lot, though.
Judy Greer‘s suit was pretty strange.
Miranda Cosgrove wore a delicate lavender dress with perforated detailing.
