Tonight is the 19th Annual Critic’s Choice Movie Awards! Yes, it’s another one of those awards shows that isn’t the Golden Globes and isn’t the Oscars. These awards are bestowed on the gleaming, glistening glitterati by the Broadcast Film Critic’s Association. But I doubt you’re here to actually hear about who won what. It’s all about what they wore, right? Ok, let’s get to it! And when you’re done, don’t forget to click over and see our worst-dressed list! It includes brass knuckles.
Aisha Tyler is the host this year and I think she looks absolutely incredible in this long-sleeved Tadashi Shoji gown. It looks like it’s bronze-colored underneath with a beaded, lacy black overlay. So pretty!
Such a sultry look for Kristen Bell! I love the shape and cut of this Pamella Roland dress and I think her hair is perfect…it compliments that dark, smolder-y thing she’s got going on.
Oh my god, I love this. I love everything about this. I would give my eyeteeth (whatever they are!) to ever wear anything close to the Roland Mouret gown Amy Adams is wearing.
Traditionally, I am not a fan of cutouts, but Nia Long is doing them right.
Jessica Chastain is a vision. A FUCKING vision in Nina Ricci. The ruffles! The train! That color!
Want to see what Oprah and Lupita wore? Read on, friends!
Oprah looks great, doesn’t she? That deep forest green is lovely on her and man, the drop waist and the teeny-tiny bow belt are flattering.
As far as I’m concerned, Juliette Lewis‘ red Zac Posen gown is the perfect awards show dress (Well, maybe a close second to Michelle Williams‘ yellow Vera Wang at the Oscars in 2006. RIP Heath.) I think she could have gone with bigger earrings, but the look overall is incredible.
Camila Alves‘ Paule Ka dress is bold without being gaudy, elegant without being boring.
Everything about this Lanvin suits Sandra Bullock. I love it so much more than her Globes look, which seemed weirdly out of proportion. Extra points for rocking a bejeweled belt, too! That can’t be comfortable when she sits down, but at least it looks pretty.
This is iffy, but I’m going to give it to Julia Louis-Dreyfus because I like her spunk and it fits her like a dream. Also, green! I’m a sucker for green.
Is anyone surprised that Lupita Nyong’o and her white Calvin Klein looked incredible? I know I’m not! She also opted for cutouts, but again, I think they’re working. This dress shows off her amazing arms and beautiful face. I also love the super simple styling with almost no jewelry and bright white nails.
Sarah Bolger (Queen Mary in The Tudors, if any of you miss that show as much as I do) is another lady who is really rocking the red. I don’t love her necklace, but I think the overall look is classic and glamorous.
