Last night, I attended the Red Dress Collection show at Lincoln Center for New York Fashion Week. Now, I’ve never been one to do well in the presence of celebrities–which is good because I was sitting like six rows back anyway–but I had such an awesome time just watching these women proudly, triumphantly and happily strut their way down the runway. Go Red For Women‘s annual The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection show, which raises awareness and funds to fight heart disease in women, always features a bevy of wonderful female celebrities in their finest scarlet, rouge and burgundy garments. This year, women like Taryn Manning, NeNe Leakes, Olympian Lindsey Vonn and many more danced down the runway in a way that no other NYFW show’s models do.
I snapped plenty of shots on my own and had planned on posting them today, but then I realized that one of the dozens of professional photogs that had been there would have much better pictures, as opposed to the weird shaky ones I had because I had practically sprinted to Lincoln Center and looked like a garbage person. So, here they are!
But first, here’s model Laura Jansen wearing the most peculiarly big red chrysanthemum.
Ireland Baldwin started the show off wearing Donna Karen and looking super fierce. Yes, I hate that term, too, but I swear–it was applicable here.
Orange Is The New Black‘s Taryn Manning has been all over the place at NYC events in the past few months. I love this Carmen Marc Valvo design.
And, naturally, having fun.
AnnaSophia Robb looked to cute wearing a full-length alice + olivia!
Food Network’s Giada De Laurentiis looked gorgeous in Carolina Herrera.
Bella Thorne is just adorable. Plus, this simple and smooth design is excellent.
Sasha Cohen wore my favorite dress of the night, created by Marc Bouwer, which I’m not unsure of why I loved so much because it photographed oddly. No matter, it’s still freaking perfect in my mind.
Lindsay Vonn brought people to their feet when she came out on crutches in this sexy Cynthia Rowley design.
Daphne Oz looked easy, breezy and beautiful in this Sarah Liller dress.
Noni Rose in Pamela Rolland brought so much fun to the runway.
NeNe Leakes killed it while walking to Beyonce‘s “Girls Run The World” wearing Dolce & Gabbana. The crowd went wild.
I know everybody hated The New Normal but I loved it and I loved her in it.
Honestly, Joan Jett was my favorite of the night. She looked cool in Catherine Malandrino, because duh, and walked to “Bad Reputation.” IT WAS THE BEST THING.
And all the ladies! They’re amazing.
