Looks like infamous Hufflepuff
Cedric Diggory Robert Pattinson found himself a brand new potential career path! After a years-long run with Dior Homme as the face of their fragrance, and with the print date for his new campaign with the same brand’s apparel line fast approaching, Pattinson has expressed a desire to step behind the curtain and take on the design world on his own.
That’s right: Robert Pattinson, the world’s foremost wizard-turned-vampire, is designing clothes now. The news came out in a recent interview with Numéro. The main topic of discussion was, of course, his film career, and when asked if he’d ever thought about writing or directing, Pattinson responded,
“I’ve started making clothes. For the last two years, I’ve been visiting producers and craftsmen. There’s already quite a few pieces. I love doing it. My style is influenced by the cities I go to, sourcing fabrics and local skills. In Los Angeles it’s really easy to work with denim and do workwear inspired clothes. In England I look more towards wool and knitwear. What I do is pretty multifaceted, clothes for men and for women, things that I make with friends… But I’m not going into too much detail, I don’t want to jinx anything…”
I mean, that’s definitely not an answer to the whole “writing and directing” question, but sometimes you just get so excited about a passion project that you need to talk about whenever and wherever. It’s like that one time I ordered six dumplings from my local dumpling shop and later opened up the takeout container to find seven dumplings—any time someone asked me how my job was going or if I was dating anyone, I’d just wax poetic about that mystical seventh dumpling.
But really, I’d be interested to see what a Robert Pattinson clothing line would look like. He always seems to dress himself relatively well (at the very least, he looks amazing in a tux), and I’m love to see how he combines British and Los Angeles influences. Also, how fun would it be to tell someone that the sweater you’re wearing was designed by Edward Cullen? Just a thought.
As of now, this line is just a twinkle in all of our eyes, but who knows? This time next year, Pattinson could be gracing Fashion Week with his glorious presence.
