Red Carpet Rundown: The Best Dressed At The SAG Awards 2014
While of course we’re compiling the worst dressed from the SAG Awards this evening, we’ll be putting together the best dressed looks, as well. I’ll be on hand to bring you the sophisticated, elegant, bold, and beautiful looks from tonight (as well as liveblogging the worst of the bunch) as they happen, so make sure you check back regularly for more updates!
It’s Saturday night, so if you don’t already have a bottle of wine open, you’re wasting time. Let’s have a drink together and check out the best dressed at tonight’s SAG Awards.
Bless you, Anna Gunn! I’ve been sitting here for almost an hour waiting for someone to look good, and Gunn delivered. I love the balance of the high neck and the sparkles on her Monique Lhullier gown.
And check out her custom Breaking Bad clutch:
Emilia Clarke looks incredible in this one-shouldered sparkly number, but the perfect hair and brows coupled with the exquisite makeup really make it excellent. Mother of Dragons, indeed.
Michelle Dockery took a risk with this black and white graphic J. Mendel number, and it paid off, big time.
Jared Leto and his mom, Constance, look remarkable. How does he get those luscious, flowing locks with that perfect ombre?
Holy shit, Amy Adams. Never, ever, ever wear any other color. The neckline is unique enough to keep this classic shape fresh, and I love the hair.
Kerry Washington basically made everyone else obsolete by showing up in a Prada cropped sweater over her pregnant belly and a full black skirt. Here’s another look:
Everybody go home.
Lupita Nyong’o‘s bright turquoise gown with a floral explosion up top shows that Nyong’o can convince me that anything’s a good idea. I even love the blue eyeshadow.
I had to sit with Cate Blanchett‘s Givenchy for a bit. I hated it when I first saw it, but as more photos rolled in, I ended up loving it. Love is a funny thing. It grows where you least expect it.
