Your Saturday night was a little more glamorous than usual thanks to the 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards. We are well into awards season by now. We’ve had the People’s Choice Awards, Golden Globes and the Critics’ Choice Awards. Most celebs kept on delivering amazing fashion. There were some standout looks at the SAG Awards, and an unexpected bright pink trend. However, there were also some celebs who stood out for the wrong reasons.
Take a look at the best-dressed celebrities at the 2016 SAG Awards:
People had high expectations for Brie Larson, but most of them probably didn’t expect her to show up in a sexy dress like this. This is completely different from the shimmering gold gown she wore at the Golden Globes, but it is still beautiful.
There really isn’t a dress that Laverne Cox doesn’t look good in. She is working the slit and draped shoulder detail. Furthermore, the maroon color of the dress is stunning with her complexion.
It seemed like all everyone could talk about last night was Alicia Vikander’s sequined dress. If we had to crown an overall fashion champ of the night, it would be her. Just imagine what she is going to wear to the Oscars.
Helen Mirren can do no wrong on the red carpet. She is showing everyone how it is done in this white and silver gown. The fit on it is flawless.
Eva Longoria is a petite lady, but she looks very statuesque in this green gown. Can we also talk about the color of the dress for a second? It is amazing with her skin tone. It was also a wise choice to keep the accessories to a minimum and let it be all about the dress.
Emilia Clarke wore the color of the night. Bold pink shades ruled the red carpet. The plunging neckline of the gown added a bit of sex appeal and balanced the voluminous skirt.
Jessica Pare brought her A-game to the SAG Awards. This is exactly the type of look you want to wear when it is one of the last times you will be on a red carpet for a show.

Christina Hendricks normally picks the most amazing clothes to show off of her curves, but this dress just doesn’t do her figure justice. You have the urge to rip off the sleeve and that bustle on the skirt. Furthermore, the color isn’t doing anything for her skin.
Nicole Kidman has it in her to pull off this gown. It is a difficult piece to get right, but she could have done it. The issue is the styling. When you have a dress that bold, you don’t want a statement necklace competing. Even the black bracelet seems out of place. If she ditched all the jewelry and wore her hair in a sleek updo, it would have been an improvement.
Sola Bamis is another one whose look could have done with some editing. The issue here is that massive bow. Her goldenrod dress is stunning except for it. That detail takes all the focus away from her. The bow almost makes it look like she has wings.
It is great to see Lori Petty wearing something completely different compared to what you normally see on the red carpet. However, this look doesn’t feel formal enough for the SAG Awards. It could also be tailored so much better. Look at those pants.
January Jones normally looks incredible on the red carpet, but this was a rare misstep for her. You can see the ethereal direction she was going in with this sea foam gown, alas she never got there. There’s something slightly off with the fit and the color.
