Spring Breakers is a film about young women on spring break, so everybody was required to wear one of these four bikinis to the premiere no matter what.
Okay, I’m just kidding, but given the amount of coverage that has been given to this film regarding all the boobs and bathing suits, I feel as though that might have actually occurred if everybody’s publicists just decided to say, “F it.” Of course, given that Selena Gomez wore a tropical bra to the SXSW premiere and nearly everybody looked silly at the Paris one, I’m not sure swimsuits were so far off on the possibility scale.
In all actuality, the actors from the film, as well as the rest of attendees to last night’s Spring Breakers premiere at the Arclight in Hollywood, wore plenty of non-bikini attire to on the red carpet. Of course, that does not necessarily mean it was all good fashion, but we’ll let you see for yourself.
First of all, and perhaps most importantly, this is what Marilyn Manson wore. And now you know.
Vanessa Hudgens and one of her legs showed up. Also, an ostrich.
…But on the bright side, her makeup looked wonderful.
Of this bunch, I feel like I only ever really like Rachel Korine‘s outfits. They always fit her beautifully and look fantastic (though I’m not stoked on her makeup).
Selena Gomez went for deep, flowing and scarlet.
Although it looks a little odd from the side. Perhaps too much cutout pattern? I’m not sure how I feel yet.
James Franco squinted a lot while wearing a suit. Until the movie started, he didn’t even realize he was at an event.
Actress Bella Thorne went for an all-pink palette which I would’ve found kind of adorable, except those shoes make my cry.
Edward James Olmos showed up looking like Edward James Olmos because he damn well felt like it, and that’s that, you crazy spring kiddies.
Benson’s Pretty Little Liars co-star Shay Mitchell chose a black and white palette. I always love seeing Mitchell on the red carpet because she always looks like she knows just how silly and stupid big celebrity events are.
Eva Amurri went for a bright sheath dress in a hue I can’t decide between loving and hating. She was smart to wear nude shoes, though, so I’m gonna go with “love.”
Ashley Tisdale, who is apparently still famous, wore a web of red and black.
Modern Family‘s Sarah Hyland looked lovely in a structured light blue, mint and cream dress. I may hate the peplum, as I hate all peplums, but I think she looks great.
Harmony Korine looks rather uncomfortable and out of place here.
Or maybe Harmony Korine just always look uncomfortable out of place?
Or maybe whomever the hell these two dudes are just make everyone look uncomfortable and out of place.
Who the F are these dudes? Oh, okay, thanks Vice.
As a pretty bit fan of Harmony Korine, I really want to see this movie despite the negative reviews, annoying soundtrack and every hilarious line I’ve read from the script. Seen it? Tell me stuff! I gave you a photo Marilyn Manson’s red glasses, consider some firsthand scoop on the film my payment.
