Hats can be a little tricky sometimes. You see something that looks good on someone else, but you’re not quite sure if it will look good on you. When you find yourself in that situation it’s probably best not to splurge on the designer version, but instead get yourself an affordable version of the hat you have a fashion crush on to see if it fits in with your own personal style.
ASOS, one of my favorite fashion websites, is currently having a huge winter sale. Everyone who lives on the East Coast knows that January means that we still have many months of cold weather to come so you can still add winter items to your wardrobe. ASOS currently has hats from on sale by well-known designers in all of my favorite winter trends, so you should take a look and see if you want to take a chance and try a new look at an affordable price!
Slouchy Beret: Diesel Knitted Beanie $28.05 (reg. $50.99)
The slouchy beret is great because it’s a lot more flattering that a tight beanie that squeezes your head and messes up your hair. It works well with loose waves and can easily be dressed up.
Funky Trilby: Reiss Medoc Studded Trilby $45.89 (reg. $83.29)
A fun fedora/trilby that is different from your plain black one is a great addition to your hat wardrobe. Again, I like it because it’s more dressy than a beanie and looks great with long hair. This wool sand studded version from Reiss is adorable.
Neon Knits: Maniyak Mini Bright Oversized Slouch Beanie $16.15 (reg. $25.50)
Knits in 80’s neons like pink, yellow, and orange are everywhere this winter. I would suggest pairing with black and definitely not with the shirt pictured.
Trapper Hat: Ignite Number Two Peru Hat $27.20 (reg. $37.39)
If you like the trapper hat styles with the earflaps but aren’t ready to try the huge Eastern European fur-lined version, try this cute ski school style…it will definitely keep you warm!
