Tess Holliday is a pretty cool lady. The blogger, Instagram celebrity and fat-acceptance activist is reportedly the biggest plus-size model to ever be signed to a major modeling agency. She has modeled for Benefit and Vogue Italia, and now she’s added a new campaign for Torrid, and her latest shoot for them makes modeling seem like way more fun than any day job.
In the video at E! Online, the photoshoot looks like way more fun than most people’s jobs. For starters, it was “dog day” at the office, which means there were puppies all over for people to play with. (Dear bosses: I calculate that puppies would improve my productivity by approximately 87 percent.)
Holliday has worked with Torrid on social media campaigns before, but said she’s been wanting to model for them for some time, and she’s been shopping at their stores since she was 15.
“I’m a firm believer that everyone should dress how they want to dress and rock what they want to rock—it’s part of why I started by #effyourbeautystandards movement. It’s really all about being yourself,” she said. “The more or less you want to wear, you should be able to do it and feel good about yourself and feel sexy and not hold back.”
Talking about her ideal style if she were to create clothes, Holliday said that she would want to make something sexy, because for so long she felt as though she was being discouraged from pursuing that because of her size. She said she’d like to create a really good fitted crop top and skirts with high slits and that whole sexy, red carpet, Angelina Jolie look.
That sounds like a pretty good idea. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that there’s a designer collab in Holliday’s future.
