So cocktail gear is fun and great–and a solid LBD is all but critical during the holidays–but I like this Minimarket dress for a few more reasons than its seasonable cut. Namely, I like that its $94.50 price is a long way down from its original $270 tag, which means you’re snagging a quality all-occasions frock in a nicer fabric than you usually get for a dress on the cheap. But more importantly, I love its drape: slip on a thin, chic belt in a subtle skin and cinch where your waist is narrowest as you drift into cocktail parties… then, later, when family dinners have wound down and you’re all finished eating and drinking to outlandish excess, you’re a quick un-buckling away from potbelly-concealing autonomy. Now that’s holiday cocktail versatility.
