Carine Roitfeld’s final issue of French Vogue is coming and here’s our first glimpse of the cover. Looks like Carine decided to make a huge statement with this one: the cover features a virtually unknown model, razor-featured Dutch beauty Saskia de Brauw, whose work thus far has been some erratic but significant runway mileage and fronting the Eres swimwear campaign.

We loved Saskia the moment her strong looks nearly knocked us out of our seat at NYFW’s G-Star RAW show, and we loved her even more when we found out she was born in 1981. It’s majorly refreshing to see a model achieve such a landmark cover and… not be a teenager! As more of the images leak, we’ll put em up.

Says Carine: “Now I found a new girl called Saskia. She has short hair, no one knows her, and this is going to be my last cover.” Saskia was lensed by Mert & Marcus and, reportedly, introduced to Carine by Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci.

Congratulations, Saskia!
