Karl Lagerfeld’s teamed up with Orrefos–a highend glasswear company based in Sweden–to create his first line of (wait for it) glasswear. Here’s a video of the collection and what went into making these “geometrical” beauties. His best lines include the description a white glass as “a freestanding geometrical cloud” and when talking about his edition of glass coasters, says

“I had an idea to put something under the glass. The most stupid cup for coffee has that but glasses don’t have that.”

And of course, the pièce de résistance:

“A plastic cup should not be in your home. On the road maybe, you have to. But even on the road, if you’re spoiled like me, you carry a little box with your own glass. And believe me, it tastes better.”
