The latest Chanel bag is said to be inspired by a hunter’s cartridge Mlle. Chanel used to wear and, fittingly, has a more masculine look than the iconic, quilted, chain-strap bags of years past. The bag’s design is emblematic of her androgynous style, Karl Lagerfeld explains: “Chanel used men’s underwear to make dresses. She had this boyish attitude, in fact it is the very spirit of Chanel. She got it from Boy Capel, the great love of her life.” Thus, the bag is called ‘Boy.’ Although the bag is free of interlocking C’s, the house’s logo is stamped along the bottom. So:
