I freaking love the British. Especially this week, I mean with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One coming out and all (yes, I will be in line at 8 p.m. for the midnight showing with the ticket I bought over a month ago). Also this week, the British are causing an uproar over cookies. I need to live there. Now.
The uproar started when British officials changed the name of gingerbread men in Lancashire schools to be more politically correct. The name “gingerbread men” was changed on 400 public school menus to “gingerbread persons.” However, some parents and political figures found this change to be “daft” and “ridiculous.” One woman was so upset over the change that she went on to say:
