In the whitest, blondest thing to ever happen in the world, Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz recorded a rap to honor Chelsea Handler moving into a new studio.

Now, I’ve written here before about my love/hate relationship with Paltrow, part of which has to do with her willingness to rap NWA lyrics without even breaking a sweat. Publicly. On television.

But I’m really not sure how I feel about this. The rap involves Diaz doing some kind of white-girl beat-boxing and Paltrow doing another kind of white-girl rapping (while, it should be noted, wearing an all-white outfit that appears to belong on a tennis court). The rap includes the lyrics “We heard that you got a brand new studio/But we heard that you got on TV by being a ho.”

It continues from there.

On one hand, let me reiterate that neither Paltrow nor Diaz GIVES A SHIT what I or anyone else things about their co-opting rap music as a joke/way to lend themselves semi-ironic street cred, but at the same time, something about this just seems wrong. It’s just too much. Too far. Too…blonde.

What do you think?
