barbie malibu dream house

Mattel has a listing for Barbie’s Malibu dream house on Trulia. It’s priced at $25 million (or $112,035 a month) but The Commercial Observer spoke to some real estate agents, and they can assure you, it is a dump. A giant pink dump.

Trulia promises that the house contains a number of desirable features, such as:

* Diamond-encrusted accents, crystal chandeliers, custom mirrors, reclaimed exotic woods, natural stone and concrete compliment the modern pink-infused decor.

* This is the only house in Malibu with a truly unobstructed view of the ocean (after all, it only has three walls) creating the ultimate in California indoor-outdoor living with stunning views from Point Dume to the Queen’s Necklace.

*This state-of-the-art entertainer’s floor plan has voluminous 119 centimeter ceilings, pink crown molding, custom Pantone® 219C hardwood floors and a pink elevator equipped with a state-of-the-art pulley system. The elevator doors are emblazoned with the Barbie® signature silo head — a feature that can be easily customized to any occupant’s initial or monogram.

However, experts at the the Commercial Observer explain it should probably just be razed to the ground. They claim:

“I can’t imagine someone spending the $25 million on this,” said Jonathan Miller, president and CEO of appraisal firm Miller Samuel Inc., at a loss for words as he scrambled to make sense of the listing for the pink plastic dwelling… To me it sounds like a land sale – and that’s it,” Mr. Miller said. “Land is so hard to come by that the land is much more valuable. It’s worth something to the sellers because they’re invested in the brand, but the buyer would tear it down and build a new place.”

And then Mr. Miller set Barbie’s hair on fire and tossed her down the stairs.
