Add another member to the courageous group of women who dare to go bare-faced in public: the five female hosts of “The Talk” appeared on national TV this morning without their usual war paint on. Host Sarah Gilbert explained the idea to ET thusly:
It shows that we’re willing to show parts of our lives that not everybody is willing to show.
I’m not sure I would go so far as to say that this is showing parts of your life that other people wouldn’t show. It’s showing parts of your face that other people wouldn’t show, which could be symbolic, but your life? Nah. Showing parts of your life that other people wouldn’t show would be, like, picking your nose on the air. Or being passive aggressive with your partner during a fight. Like, your real bad parts — not the parts that are just easily covered up.
