Prince Charles presented awards to talented musicians during a visit to London’s Royal College of Music today, May 14, 2009.
The annual awards ceremony honors outstanding performers in various musical fields. This year’s awardees include Swedish soprano Ida Falk Winland and harpist Daniel De Fry. Performances by the awardees capped the ceremony, which was held at the newly renovated Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall.
Prince Charles is the president of the Royal College of Music, and was himself taught to play the cello as a young man.
