Britain’s Prince Charles and Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall, wrapped up their official visit to Japan with separate stops to a forest for Prince Charles and the St. Luke’s Hospital for Camilla.

Prince Charles was accompanied by Japan’s Princess Takamado to the Afan Forest, which is owned by Welshman CW (Clive William) Nicol. The forest was formerly scrubland that is now a thriving ecosystem that supports a variety of plant and animal life. After a trek through the forest, Prince Charles visited the Enmei tea factory in Shinanomachi. Meanwhile, Camilla participated in a pet therapy session for young patients at St Luke’s Hospital.

The British royals capped the day with a dinner with Japan’s Crown Prince Naruhito and Princess Masako at the Akasaka Detached Palace. The Japanese royal couple are living at the Palace temporarily while their home is being renovated.
