Quick– close your eyes and try to imagine what kind of facial expressions NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams makes when he sees his daughter getting busy on HBO.

The always delightful Allison Williams talked with Nylon recently about the trials and tribulations of starring in Lena Dunham‘s Girls. First of all, it must be rough when your job description includes “having awkward nightgown sex” one minute and “having awkward-er drunk sex with a member of the Lonely Island” the next. Second of all, imagine if your parents were always watching. Third of all, imagine if one of your parents were Brian Williams. Allison tells the magazine,

Whenever I read a sex scene I will prepare my parents. I’ll start by making it sound way worse than it is. I’ll say it’s like the Britney Spears ‘I’m a Slave 4 U’ video or like the airplane scene in The Wolf of Wall Street. By the time they watch it, they’re like, ‘Oh my god, that was nothing.’

Okay, so her response is totally adorable– but I still feel so uncomfortable for everyone involved. Uptight, anxiety-ridden Marnie is probably the least sexual of all the Girls characters (Shoshana has been majorly coming into her own this season), and she still has a prolonged masturbation scene in a public restroom. I don’t know how much money she makes for starring on the incredibly popular show, but I’m willing to bet it’s not a big enough salary to justify torturing her innocent little all-American dad. What did he do to deserve this, Allison??

Joking aside, this interview has definitely made me like her more. She goes on to talk about her “no Googling” policy, and how she avoids letting the internet get her down:

I have a strict ‘no Googling’ policy that I’ve adhered to for four years now, which is very hard to do in the dark of night when no one’s looking. I’ve asked actors for advice and they told me ‘never Google yourself!’ Pictures that you wish were gone forever are always the first things to pop up.

Aww. I’m sorry for your Google pain, Allison… and I’m deeply sorry for your watching-your-kid-masturbate-on-HBO pain, Brian.
