According to recent reports, hackers have targeted a number of female celebs by breaking into their cell phones in search of nude photos. Among those who were targeted successfully — and whose naked pictures were then supposedly leaked onto the internet — are  Scarlett Johansson, Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens (again), Ali Larter and Busy Phillips. We haven’t confirmed the hack by doing a Google search, but feel free.

That is, of course, a terrible, major invasion of privacy, and the hackers should certainly be stopped. But the question I really want an answer to is this: why does every single young starlet in Hollywood have nude pictures of herself on her phone? I mean, to read about it, it’s as if photos of these chicks in the buff are like any other set of promotional images that they might have lying around: here’s her headshot, here’s her reel, and here are her naked pictures.

Look — I’ll be forthcoming here. It’s possible that I have, somewhere in my possession, some pictures of myself with not as much clothing on as I normally wear. But I don’t happen to think I’m in the majority, and the photos are not, and never will be, on my phone, and also, I’m not an actress. It just seems weird to me that this is reported with such a blasé attitude — it’s as if I’ve completely missed some huge trend in which everyone now carries around nude pics of themselves in their pocket, because, well, you never know!

What about you? Do you have nude pics on your phone, or anywhere?
