Another week, another child star whose ex is an asshole. Nude pictures of Dylan Sprouse, one-half of the now 21-year-old pair of twins who starred in Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, leaked last night, reportedly tweeted from an ex who has since deleted her Twitter handle. One image features Sprouse in his boxer briefs, while another image was much more explicit.

But rather than freaking out, Sprouse has some hilarious and super calm responses to the situation:

He also changed his Twitter bio to “n00d pic dealer.” I, on the other hand, would be (A) calling a lawyer (B) having a panic attack (C) sprinting to Whole Foods and gobbling up its entire bakery and hot foods sections. So, I commend him for being an unreasonably good sport about circumstances that totally suck.

While I may have written a guide on avoiding identifiable images of naked self on the Internet (if you wish them not to be, of course), I nevertheless think you’re a rather terrible person if you leak somebody else’s nude photos–no matter what gender that person is. When somebody trusts you, they trust you, and it’s irresponsible (and needlessly awful) to spread them on the Internet.

That said, while I wish that nobody went through this type of experience, it’s hard to deny that the responses to nude pictures leaked of females are different than those of male celebrities. When famous women’s nudes leak, people are all sorts of gross and creepy (hell, people are all sorts of gross and creepy even when they’re aren’t nudes anywhere to be found). They get called idiots, sluts, and skanks. Men laugh it off, as it’s not quite the PR or career-ruining disaster that it can potentially be for women. I’m not saying I wish it were worse for men; I’m saying I wish things were equally “whatever” for female bodies, too.

Anyway, like I said up there, I think Sprouse handled the situation magnificently. High five, former Disney star.
