When “The Bachelor” first came on, I remember being a bit appalled at the premise of so many women competing for one man. It seemed sexist, deliberately stereotyping and playing up the very worst characteristics of our gender.
And then “The Bachelorette” premiered, and all was right with the world.
As multiple seasons have come and gone, and we’ve all been completely shocked and disappointed to find that so many of the relationships don’t work out because, well, it’s reality TV, I wonder if it’s stars in their eyes alone that drive women to still sign up for the show, or if anyone actually believes in love at first scripted introduction.
With this season of the show kicking off on Monday night, I’m compelled to ask: would you be “The Bachelorette”? If so, why?
