You Google "STD" this is one of the many lovely photos you get. You want gonorrhea on your back, kids?

Whether it’s before, mid-sex or afterward, this seems to be a question people ask. I know I’ve been asked it, and in return, I’ve asked of others. But when you’re about to have sex, who’s actually going to list off their STDs if they have them?

I’m lucky enough that I’ve never had an STD. I like to think my bullet was getting preggers too young. But I’m also not sure that if I did have, say, the herps, I’d disclose that information if I’m being asked that question. I know this is wrong, and for that I hope I never get the herps or anything else.

However, knowing that I’d probably stay mum, it makes me realize so would many others. If that’s the truth, what’s the point of even asking? Because it’s just comforting? So that way later on, should we be so unfortunate as to get something, we can declare: “But he said he didn’t have any STDs!”
