Keds Remembers Its Roots, With Friendship Pins

Look! Friendship pins! I had literally forgotten about these until I saw this picture. Not like, “oh, I forgot about them, but I still thought about them every so often, like with snap bracelets.” No. I had completely and totally wiped these from my memory until the picture jogged them right back onto my life.

All I can hope at this point is that I hadn’t repressed these staples of 1980′s footwear because of some trauma that I associate with them, that will now come flooding back to me in all its horror. I’ll keep you posted.
