I mean “may anyone, ever” but it felt awkward to type, right?
Every time I see a Lisa Perry dress, which is inevitably inspired by some well known artist, I have an immediate impulse to say “Jeff KOONS, lady? I fucking love Jeff Koons! I will give you all the money in the world for this dress! Please excuse me while I hold up 7 banks!” I say that regardless of whether or not the artist inspiring the dress is Jeff Koons. I really just want to hold up some banks. More

You guys sick of Oscars red carpet coverage yet? Yes? TOO BAD. Anyway, in light of all the ‘tude we’re giving attendees today (and me being a complete dick on Twitter last night), I’ve decided to just do a straight up Best Dressed list and put some positivity back in this cold bleak world. So the good people at Walter Steiger were kind enough to provide us with the brand’s amazing shoe for Akris Spring 2011: the Ishi. Although the shoe is supposed to feel like standing on a smooth stone at the beach, it’s really more like standing on something extremely unstable as you try not to fall on your face. Be warned: though they look like an elegantly sloping wedge, they are a challenge. More

We stopped by the Walter Steiger press showing this morning and got up close and personal with some of the brand’s always glamorous/sometimes astonishing Spring collection, including their looks for Akris Spring 2011. Steiger has forged a trademark in the “bowed” heel (you’ll see plenty of it ahead), which the press release describes as a look that “creates a distinction from across the room,” and does it ever.
