At the moment, we’re interested in ankle boots of the Winter-friendly variety (no stillettos, no slender heels)–basically, closed toe leather boots for clomping down slick streets. Who doesn’t like animal prints? We’ve stepped up our game and moved past the same old leopard/cheetah/zebra/snake prints and fallen in love with subtle (or sometimes not so subtle) prints of actual animals. From elephants to dogs to wolves, animals get chic ahead. More
I’m a fan of Chloe Sevigny. Or Chloë Sevigny as people with any keyboard proficiency like to call her. I think she has genuine style. And she was in Last Days of Disco, which ruled. Though I agree with her detractors that not every risk she takes pays off, she’s still always 90% more interesting than every other actress on a red carpet anywhere. Also, I’m hungover today and couldn’t come up with some kitschy ’90s show or guilty pleasure movie to mine for ideas. So I’m trying to keep the Score in the well under-$100 range because, well, before I moved to New York I probably wouldn’t have considered a $90 skirt a total steal. So yeah, keeping items closer to $50 is really what I’m aiming for, but I’ll make use of that <99 buffer if I think something is a really good deal; for example, a significant markdown or something special–let’s say a great or unusual material–you wouldn’t ordinarily find in that price range.
