Red Carpet Rundown: The 2013 SAG Awards Red Carpet

The Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards if you’re nasty) are nigh. If you like actors congratulating actors for overcoming a bunch of stuff and being actors, then the SAG Awards are for you. And we, The Gloss, are bringing you the red carpet looks in real time(-ish).

As we did with the Golden Globes, we’ll be updating this post with all the pretty, pretty dresses (and hopefully lots of ugly ones) over the next couple hours. More »

The December issue of Vanity Fair features a gorgeous editorial in which Amanda Seyfried frolics around in some rather un-wintry locations while wearing a jillion dollars worth of couture. Works for me! I don’t know if it’s her sparkling personality, acting talent, or alignment with normative standards of beauty, but she appears to be in the running for prettiest human in the world in these photographs. The accompanying profile doesn’t tell us much we don’t know about her, but it does compare her to a kitten, milk chocolate (?) and a blade of grass, so…meh. She does talk about her she and Hugh Jackman came up with some sexy alternate plot lines for Les Mis though. If I ever interview Amanda Seyfried, I will do my due diligence by asking her to go into more detail about those. More »

Do you enjoy musicals, period garb, and seeing how much skinnier an already-thin starlet can get if she eats only oatmeal paste squares? Then you’ll love the December issue of Vogue, which features some gorgeous pictures Annie Leibovitz shot on set of the hotly anticipated Les Miserables movie. Lookin’ good, guys! And, as this is a musical about history, it’s bound to be educational as well as fun to watch. For instance, did you know that 19th century French peasants were all really ridiculously good looking? The more you know. More »

Amanda Seyfried is a great actress, so it stands to reason that when shooting her for a big editorial, Vs Magazine would want to utilize some of her skills to tell a story of sorts. Unfortunately, it seems the art director’s brain was stuck on one setting, as most of the photos show various iterations of the word “distraught.” That said, it’s a joy to watch this bright young actress do anything, and it’s certainly more interesting than the cold wall of “blue steel” you get in most fashion editorials. Amanda Seyfried And Her Skin Would Like You To Buy This $13,000 Moisturizer

We can all probably agree that Amanda Seyfried has pretty great skin–but I don’t think any of us knew exactly how great. Her skin is, in fact, so great that a luxury cosmetics company has asker her to be the face of their 30th anniversary limited-edition skin creme line. And by “line,” they mean “three jars at $13,000 apiece.” Could your skin sell a $13,000 pot of moisturizer? Mine either. More »

As we reported yesterday, a somewhat Photoshop-addled Amanda Seyfried is the cover girl for the (terribly redesigned!) March 2012 issue of Glamour. Now, the mag has released some quotes and images from the accompanying story, and she’s about as honest and down-to-earth as I’ve come to expect her to be in interviews. She’s also gorgeous, despite the overly ‘shopped finish of some of the photos. Let’s take a look. More »
