Last night, New York’s Museum of Modern Art held a special screening of Lovelace, prompting feminists, celebrities, and feminist celebrities to put on their spiffiest duds and have their picture taken. As this was not an official “premiere,” some people went fancier than others, which was okay, because like I said in my last post, everyone is entitled to their own comfort level with conventional beauty norms. Even Zachary Quinto. More
Topic: Amanda Seyfried
In the newest issue of Elle, the ever-candid (but not in an annoying way) Amanda Seyfried poses for some pretty pictures and speaks at length about love, sex, and her new film Lovelace, which really does look amazing. I’m sure there will be much more to discuss when the full version comes out, but my favorite quote thus far is the one which addresses the feeling of having sparks in one’s vagina. More

The Fall 2013 Givenchy show walked in Paris yesterday and, predictably, a shitload of famous people stopped by. Some glittery front row regulars (Kanye West, with girlfriend Kim Kardashian in tow, Amanda Seyfried, newly minted fashion darling Jessica Chastain, etc) and some industry big hitters (Carine Roitfeld, Anna Dello Russo) were all in attendance.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards if you’re nasty) are nigh. If you like actors congratulating actors for overcoming a bunch of stuff and being actors, then the SAG Awards are for you. And we, The Gloss, are bringing you the red carpet looks in real time(-ish).
The much-anticipated (thanks to Anne Hathaway‘s many ladymag rounds, in which she discussed her crash diet tirelessly) Les Miserables saw its world premiere in London last night, and all its fancy, fancy stars turned out. Sadly, it was not a high point for fashion.
The December issue of Vanity Fair features a gorgeous editorial in which Amanda Seyfried frolics around in some rather un-wintry locations while wearing a jillion dollars worth of couture. Works for me! I don’t know if it’s her sparkling personality, acting talent, or alignment with normative standards of beauty, but she appears to be in the running for prettiest human in the world in these photographs. The accompanying profile doesn’t tell us much we don’t know about her, but it does compare her to a kitten, milk chocolate (?) and a blade of grass, so…meh. She does talk about her she and Hugh Jackman came up with some sexy alternate plot lines for Les Mis though. If I ever interview Amanda Seyfried, I will do my due diligence by asking her to go into more detail about those. More
