Last night saw the 17th annual Hollywood Film Awards–the prosaically named ceremony has come to be regarded as the “first necessary stop” on the awards season campaign trail. The 67th Annual Tony Awards took place in NYC last night and Kinky Boots was the surprise winner.
…That, alas, was the lion’s share of surprises. The red carpet was a pretty staid affair, with lots of solid colors and big stuffy formal silhouettes. And some sparkles.
