It's so sad, but there's no hot water, so you can't shower, which of course means you can't get dressed.

Your legs aren't shaved -- you don't want to be crass by revealing them for even a moment.

Maybe you're a little bloated from all those hamburgers you ate yesterday; maybe only your elastic waist pj pants will fit.

You have too much work to even go to work.

Or, the opposite: you worked so hard yesterday (or any day) that it would be a poor choice for you, mentally, to get dressed.
