The images from the new Fall 2011 Mugler by Nicola Formichetti campaign have been all over and every time I see one I’m just kind of charmed. Their appeal is mostly tattoo-swathed former-nobody Rick Genest who now serves as full-time muse to Mugler creative director and Lady Gaga BFF Nicola Formichetti (who, so the story goes, found Genest on Facebook). The campaign was shot by Mariano Vivanco under the direction of Formichetti and although the images of Genest are obviously arresting and pretty menacing, they also have a lightness and a real sense of humor (like the house of Mugler itself).
