The clothing choices were pretty polarizing – the celebrities either fell into the best dressed or worst dressed categories with little in between. More
Earlier this week, we admitted that we didn’t despise neon as much as we once did–because its popularity has petered out in a big since its peak ubiquity in 2012.
…But, while searching for examples of successful neon looks–many of which we found!–we also came across all the ones that made us fear and loath it in the first place. Fergie, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha and more ahead. More
As Fashion Month draws to a close, we must pick up the pieces and filter out the relevant information. So far, we know the Spring 2014 collections were all very Spring-y, the front rows were all very famous, and the models were all very white.
But! There were still surprises to be found in New York, London, Paris and Milan, as the accessories stole the show time and time again. President Obama is visiting Berlin for the first time this week (that’s German Chancellor Angela Merkel up there on the right)–which means Michelle Obama will be wearing a bunch of nice dresses and we get to care about them. Last night, for example, the President and First lady attended a fancy dinner at Charlottenburg Palace and MObama went for an unusual but characteristically ladylike look. More
The Spring 2014 bridal collections have shown and the big surprise is… more nontraditional wedding dresses. We see this pretty regularly (dove gray, pale pink, mint green and the like), but it’s still always a surprise how polarizing it is. We’re of the opinion that no woman should feel required to wear a long white dress (or, uh, get married, for that matter) but the sight of a nonwhite gown sends others into irrational frenzy.
So, for those of you interested in/horrified by nonwhite gowns or other variously nontraditional wedding dresses, here are the latest from the Spring runways, featuring Vera Wang, Marchesa, Monique Lhuillier and more. More
The 70th annual Golden Globe Awards took place last night and hopefully you enjoyed our knee jerk reactions to the (mostly boring) red carpet. Unfortunately, there weren’t a lot of stand out looks last night, so consider this best dressed list… graded on a curve.
Still, red carpet reliables like Julianne Moore and Anne Hathaway looked grand, while surprise turns from Olivia Munn, Lucy Liu and Stacy Keibler kept things interesting.
…Mildly, at least. More
So, Carolina Herrera recently debuted more looks from her Spring 2013 bridal collection, and amongst the gowns and the glory was a surprise piece: a bridal pantsuit. More
