12 People Who Should Have Been On Vanity Fair‘s International Best Dressed List

12 People Who Should Have Been On Vanity Fair's International Best Dressed List

Yesterday brought the Vanity Fair International Best Dressed list… it was full of predictable choices (Kate Middleton nabbed the top spot, three years in a row) and a few surprises (who are half of you people?). Most surprising of all, however, were a few glaring omissions: no Cate Blanchett? No Tilda Swinton? Check out our gallery of stylish people who should have been included and then let us know your own list in the comments. More »

Red Carpet Rundown: Gwen Stefani, Nicole Richie, Kirsten Dunst And More Go Glam For MOCA Gala

Over the weekend, LA’s Museum of Contemporary Art held its annual gala, attracting all kinds of fancy people in pricey dresses. The world’s most famous performance artist Marina Abramovic took the creative reigns for the evening, which amounted to guests wearing white lab coats, human heads serving as table centerpieces and cakes that looked like naked people. Performance art. Anyway, see what Gwen Stefani, Nicole Richie, Rachel Zoe, Dita von Teese, Kirsten Dunst and Abramovic herself wore (under their lab coats). More »

Friday Style Icon: Michelle Williams

Friday Style Icon: Michelle Williams

This week’s Friday Style Icon is pretty straight forward: Michelle Williams is a really talented actress and a fashion risk-taker with good taste. She wears a refined palette of metallics and neutrals, knows what looks good on her (she loves a fitted bodice and a full skirt) and sticks to her guns (she will wear all the lace dresses). She’s partial to Chanel, Balenciaga, and Erdem and her trademark look is a mix of ladylike, mod and nonchalant. Although sometimes she comes up short, for the most part Williams is a lovely presence on red carpets who makes unconventional, intelligent fashion decisions and occasionally just kills it (we all remember her yellow Vera Wang from the Oscars). Let’s see some of her hits. More »

Red Carpet Rundown: Justin Timberlake Looked Tragic At The In Time Premiere

That new movie about time puns, In Time, premiered in LA last night and all the film’s stars showed up: Justin Timberlake in a horrible suit, still refusing to acknowledge the demands of the people and make music again; Olivia Wilde in the most boring black dress ever created; Amanda Seyfried looking quite lovely in Spring 2012 Prabal Gurung. Also, Joey Lawrence was there, so that’s some extra incentive to click through. More »

Gallery: Kim Kardashian's Official Wedding Photos Have Arrived And Now We Can Be Whole Again

Remember how Kim Kardashian got married and it was supposed to be Our! Royal! Wedding! and then it wasn’t because the Kardashians are off-putting and terrible? Well, TheGloss posted some photos and then we (and every blog) got a sternly-worded letter from People asking they be taken down. Thankfully, TMZ just got the full batch–seriously, almost 100 photos of your least favorite people in the world!–and now we are posting some because, honestly, I felt spiritually incomplete without the ability to gawk at Kim Kardashian’s hideous fucking Sexy Childlike Empress Halloween costume. Gallery: The 2011 Emmy Awards' Red Carpet

The 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards have occurred! We’ll run best and worst lists soon (spoiler: nobody looked really, incredibly awful? is that possible?) but for now, here’s a pretty complete gallery. …By complete, I mean, you will see all the dresses but will not have to endure 40 slides of the same exact tuxedo on every male attendee. Thank me later! Anyhow, Katie Holmes, Gwyneth Paltrow, Glee stars, Mad Men women, Kate Winslet and, of course, Paz de la Huerta ahead… More »
