I’m a fan of Chloe Sevigny. Or Chloë Sevigny as people with any keyboard proficiency like to call her. I think she has genuine style. And she was in Last Days of Disco, which ruled. Though I agree with her detractors that not every risk she takes pays off, she’s still always 90% more interesting than every other actress on a red carpet anywhere. Also, I’m hungover today and couldn’t come up with some kitschy ’90s show or guilty pleasure movie to mine for ideas. So here’s a bunch of great Chloe Sevigny style decisions and a bunch of things that resemble them. More

A roomy, practical shoulder bag is great for women who are always carrying their lives in handbags, while a crossbody is practical for women who need a hands/arm free carryall. The bucket bag, therefore, is a nice confluence of the two needs: roomy by virtue of its pail-shape but easy to carry because they usually have a very long strap. Generally speaking, I think leopard print should be relegated to splashes: handbags, scarves, ballet flats, or even a shirt if paired with (for example) simple black trousers. I’m in the “always tone it down” camp though, and Paris Hilton/Kim Kardashian/Aubrey O’Day are firmly not.
