Ever the fashionable lady, Michelle Obama nonetheless missed out on the Kafka-esque nightmare super fun party that was Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week to do boring stuff like attend an awards gala put on by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus in Washington, D.C. But that didn’t mean she couldn’t still wear a great designer outfit. For this event, she chose a metallic strapless dress by Chris Benz which looked truly great on her. After seeing clothes on models all week, it’s nice to see a designer dress working on a more “normal” looking woman. (“Normal” in the sense that she’s not a fashion model; I realize she’s the first lady of the United States, is very pretty and has preternaturally toned arms.)
