Topic: designer collaborations
Kate Moss looks hot as hell on the May cover of Vogue UK, despite the fact that she’s wearing a look comprised of almost 100% fringe. More
We’re overjoyed about this designer collaboration that is specifically made with plus size women in mind, as opposed to the usual collabs made for women who are sizes 0-2 (ahem, looking at you, H&M). More
It’s only been four short months since Isabel Marant was announced as the next guest designer over at H&M–but the lookbook has already leaked! Some outlets are reporting this to be a partial lookbook (we were promised hundreds of pieces!) but this glimpse confirms the collection has something for everyone.
…No, seriously: there’s the clothes (which look a lot like actual Marant), there’s shoes, there’s jewelry, there’s menswear (which means lots of slouchy sweaters for us anyway) and it’s all shown off by a collection of grade A supermodels (Milla Jovovich! Alek Wek!). Let’s take a look. More
Barbie has worn some fancy designer clothes in her day, but nobody’s ever made her look quite so much the total sexpot as Hervé Léger just did. More
Last night, Target unveiled its latest design collaboration: 3.1 Phillip Lim. Lim himself was there (looking stylish in black), as were a few models and a whole lot of clothes: while staying true to the designer’s polished aesthetic, the collection features leopard prints, bright florals, sophisticated basics and lots and lot of accessories. Yes, there are handbags.
The collection isn’t available until next month, but take a look at our gallery and figure out which pieces you’ll be gunning for September 15. More
Isaac Mizrahi made polka dot tweezers so they’ll be easier to find in your makeup drawer. More
We really don’t like jewelry. It’s probably a weird peeve when one works in fashion and beauty–but we just can’t get past it. Don’t like the way it looks, don’t like the way it feels on, etc. Are we alone on this one? More
Now, as you might guess, Kanye West does not seem like the, uh, “team player” type. In fact, he seems downright awful to work with. (I mean, if you can think of somebody who’s more likely to list “BEST HUMAN EVER” on his resume, let me know.) I’m sure he is very intelligent — I love a lot of his music, personally — but oh man, he seems to epitomize the type of person you never want to get paired up with for labs in high school. You know he’d just explode chemicals, Instagram it with his own song lyrics and enter the broken beaker’s remnants into an art fair. More

We hardly believe it (is this a hoax?): H&M‘s next collaborator is none other than lowykey chic Parisian Isabel Marant. More
Spring is apparently a big time for high profile designer collaborations: Target just announced Phillip Lim as their latest guest tastemaker, NARS and Pierre Hardy have joined forces on shoe-inspired nail polishes, Beyonce had some alleged sway over H&M pieces and the Peter Som Anthropologie collection lands in Anthropologie locations this week. The other big news is he’s set to design womenswear as well as pieces for dudes. More
Christian Louboutin has collaborated with some odd bedfellows in the past, but if rumors of his latest collaboration are true, he may well have topped himself with a pair of sneakers made of kale. More
In the worlds of fashion and beauty, it’s an unwritten law that everyone must always be collaborating with everyone. All the time. Sometimes the collaborations are really cool and feel like great design at an accessible price point–the rest of the time they’re not. More
