Actors, singers and comedians alike all turned out on the red carpet for GQ‘s Men Of The Year Awards 2013. It was presumably the hottest day of the year because everybody looked…well, a little exposed. From Emma Watson to Alexa Chung to Jourdan Dunn, there were gorgeous women in beautiful outfits. Beautiful, cropped, tubed-out outfits.
Also: Go home, Daisy Lowe. You are drrrunk. More
Did you know that conventionally beautiful women occasionally suffer from poor eyesight? They might even wear glasses sometimes–in public, too, and not just in the shameful darkness of their basements. Victoria’s Secret angel Erin Heatherton had the audacity to wear hers out in Sydney last night.
Astonishingly, this is a news. story. Which is absurd for at least
two two hundred reasons–not the least of which is glasses make people look hot. Both sexes. Are some people unaware of that?
Anyway, in the interest of reminding everyone that 1) hot people sometimes wear glasses and 2) glasses can even make them extra hot, here is a gallery of conventionally beautiful women brave enough to wear them. More
Emma Watson is currently engaged in the difficult project of discussing consumerism without sounding like a wealthy, well dressed hypocrite as she promotes her latest project, The Bling Ring. Because there is nothing your BFF Emma Watson can’t do, she’s generally coming off very thoughtful and non-hypocritical! But she did arouse some suspicion that she was lying to seem more “down to earth” when she claimed to personally own fewer than ten pairs of shoes, like a peasant. More
The Bling Ring premiered in LA last night with a splashy Louis Vuitton (of course) and Vanity Fair-hosted red carpet.
The stars wore an impressively interesting assortment of looks–what else would we expect from rising style stars like Emma Watson, not to mention established fashion icons like Chloe Sevigny, Gwen Stefani and Sofia Coppola? Check out all the looks below.
And yes, Paris Hilton was there. What else is she doing these days? More
You know what’s awesome? Movies with lots of awesome people it them. One of those upcoming movies is This Is The End, an apocalyptic summer comedy (best new genre, y/y?) starring James Franco, Jonah Hill, Emma Watson, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, Mindy Kaling, Craig Robinson and more. And what’s even more awesome? Those people, plus more of our favorite
stoners Hollywood performers with excellent senses of humor, all up on the red carpet looking snazzy and hanging out together.
Oh, and Wilmer Valderrama, but I think that was an accident, IDK. More
I went to see a screening of The Bling Ring yesterday. The new Sofia Coppola movie about kids who steal from celebrities is so splashy and entertaining, and Emma Watson looks so great that you almost forget that none of the characters have personalities. More
Emma Watson is pretty much a best case scenario for someone transitioning from child to adult stardom. She seems incredibly nice and normal, she’s never gotten into trouble of any kind, and she’s been nabbing quality roles in smart but entertaining movies like The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Bling Ring. And in the June issue of W Magazine, she continues her flawless transition to adulthood with the most gorgeous and womanly photos we’ve seen of her yet. More
Hey, betches! Sofia Coppola‘s The Bling Ring premieres at Cannes today! The film, which stars Emma Watson as the Worst, is based on a true story about a group of shallow people who robbed rich and famous shallow people. Zeitgeisty!
Anyway, guess what that means? Horrible early/mid ’00s fashion is back! Did you miss whiskered jeans? Louis Vuitton Murakami bags? Purse dogs? Ever-present Frappuccinos? Unapologetic venality? Paris Hilton being marginally relevant?
Hopefully you didn’t. But let’s take a stroll down the worst kind of memory lane with our carefully considered Bling Ring-inspired shopping guide. More
Underwear thievery might seem like the kind of activity reserved for dirty old men and cartoon gnomes, but try telling that to the acquisitive teens whose activities formed the basis for book (and soon-to-be-released movie) The Bling Ring. As it turns out, these mostly female miscreants stole mad underwear. And not just any underwear: Miranda Kerr‘s underwear. More
Emma Watson‘s California accent, oh my! More
Last night, we brought you a live rundown of the MTV Movie Awards red carpet. This morning, we’re picking up the pieces–first, by sifting through all the looks to make a reasonable excuse for a best dressed list, now by picking through all the hair and makeup. Let’s do this. More
Last night, we liveblogged the MTV Movie Awards red carpet. This morning, we’re sifting through the many outrageous looks and trying to come up with ten that might reasonably be considered best. Granted, being on the best dressed list at an MTV awards show is kind of like being “one of the world’s biggest rodents.” You’re still at an MTV awards show.
…Uh. So! Here are our picks for the best dressed at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. More
Earlier today, we told a friend we couldn’t hang out later because we’d be covering the 2013 MTV Movie Awards ceremony. “MTV Movie Awards?” she said, flabbergasted. “That’s still a thing?” And so it is, friends. So it is.
And so, this evening, we’re liveblogging the MTV Movie Awards red carpet. We’ll be updating with our wisecracks as fast as we can keep up with the photo databases, so: check back, refresh often and laugh with us.
Welcome to the world’s only awards ceremony with worse fashion than the Grammys. More
If you, like me, read the item circulating a few days ago about how Anonymous had hacked into a German movie studio’s database and found out Emma Watson will be playing Anastasia Steele in the Fifty Shades Of Grey movie and found it a bit suspect, it’s probably because you are a rational being. More
