Earlier this week, we admitted that we didn’t despise neon as much as we once did–because its popularity has petered out in a big since its peak ubiquity in 2012.
…But, while searching for examples of successful neon looks–many of which we found!–we also came across all the ones that made us fear and loath it in the first place. Fergie, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha and more ahead. More

There are certainly a few celebrity collections we wouldn’t brand uncool–The Row and Victoria Beckham spring to mind–but very few famous people can just waltz in on a highly specialized industry and produce good work.
…Luckily, they all have giant design teams making the actual decisions for them. Hence, every now and again, an uncool celebrity brand gets it right.

Yesterday, we brought you our picks for the finest red carpet looks of the year, featuring the usual paragons of good taste–Cate Blanchett, Tilda Swinton, Naomi Watts, etc. Today, we bring you the opposites, the looks we remember this year because they were ill-fitting, unflattering, color clashing, over-the-top and just plain ugly.

Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Rihanna, even Paris Hilton looking good (?!) ahead. More

Sometimes things just work out for impossibly fit, tall blondes like Molly Sims. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit evergreen and CoverGirl face tied the knot with movie producer Scott Stuber. The ceremony took place over the weekend in Napa Valley and Fergie was there. Sims wore a traditional lacy white fishtail by (wait for it) Marchesa, which we all found very lovely. The jewels were by Lorraine Schwartz and the groom wore Tom Ford. Here are some shots. More

Fair warning: fer here looked “good” in the traditional(/actual?) sense. However, with music events, a certain amount of theatrics are simply expected and thus a few performers are largely exempt from criticism (xoxo, Nicki Minaj). Anyway, kind of a bell curve ahead. More
