Red Carpet Rundown: The Least Offensive Looks At The 2013 Grammys

Red Carpet Rundown: The Least Offensive Looks At The 2013 Grammys

The 2013 Grammy Awards took place last night and few Grammys ceremonies have ever presented us with so many genuinely god awful dresses. While looking through our colleague Samantha’s fantastic live coverage of the red carpet last night, we realized two things: 1) Sam is a lot more generous than us and 2) there’s no fucking way anyone can make a reasonable best dressed list out of this caravan of nightmares.

So, we decided to reframe our usual awards ceremony post-mortem best dressed list as, simply, The Least Offensive Dressed. Let’s try our best. More »

The Gloss’s 10 Sexiest People Alive

Gallery: Our Favorite Red Carpet Accessories Of 2011

The holidays are a time for excessive eating, arguing with in-laws and round-ups of our favorite things worn by famous people over the past year. Designers Like Karl Lagerfeld & Donatella Versace Pose With Their Musical Muses

W Magazine did a story on the relationship between designers and their musical muses. With some, the connection is obvious: Florence Welch was recently named the face of Gucci so she’s a natural fit to inspire Gucci creative director Frida Giannini. With others, it’s more unclear (what about flower child Esperanza Spalding inspires minimalist Francisco Costa?*). Check out the pairings in the gallery. Also: poor Baptise Giabiconi!! More »

Gallery: Female Celebs in Suits

Leighton Meester showed up to the Gotham Awards in a Thom Browne suit and honestly, she killed it. She looked sexy and effortless and cool. She softened the menswear-inspired outfit with feminine make-up, flowy hair and Faragamo heels, which might be why it worked like gang busters. I tend to think women in suits look great. Of course, there are the occasional failures (lots of those ahead) but when it works, does it ever work. More »
